Plastic Reproduction
Edge can use your existing prototype part as a master and reproduce it in any available thermoplastic. There are two major uses for this capability:
- Your prototype parts, such as SLA models or machined metal parts, can be converted to your plastic of choice, allowing you to test performance in the desired material.
- Existing parts, such as microtiter plates, can be reproduced in plastic materials unavailable for purchase from the manufacturer. This is essential for testing material compatibility with your assay chemistry.
Because the master structure already exists in these cases, such projects are usually quite efficient.
