Plastics Prototyping

Because master fabrication often takes only one to two days, soft embossing is ideal for microfluidic device design prototyping.   Each master can be used for just a few parts or thousands of parts, and the design can be iterated as dictated by your experimental results.   Master design iterations, therefore, can realistically take as little as a week.   Furthermore, each master can produce parts in any type of plastic you choose.

Soft embossing is the best method for plastic device prototyping.   It offers all the speed of other rapid prototyping mechanisms, but offers much greater part reproducibility and precision. We can serve all your development needs, from device prototyping through to low-volume manufacturing.   Plus, once you have a finished design, you can even transition it to an injection molder if you require high-volume manufacturing.

We routinely work with many thermoplastics including polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), cyclic olefin copolymer (COC), cyclic olefin polymer (COP), acrylic (PMMA), and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).
